Every month, President and CEO Joe Wittig provides lunch for all Components Company employees. These monthly lunches are an opportunity for everyone to take a break and socialize.
While these lunches aren’t new, August’s monthly all-company lunch featured something that was new. For the first time, we hired a food truck to come to our Brookfield, WI property.
Welcome To Wilma’s
Wilma’s Smokehouse is described as a “Rustic Roadside” BBQ stand. Centered in southeast Wisconsin, Wilma’s Smokehouse food truck moves location daily. The smokehouse is known for its smoked meats. But the food truck establishment offers much more.
Components Company employees had many rustic and original lunch choices. Sandwich options included brisket, jerk chicken and a bacon jam burger. Loaded nachos and fries could be served up with barbecue brisket, jerk chicken or smoked pork on top. Side dishes such as haystack onions, mac and cheese, southern beans and ham as well as corn muffins were also served up.
The Outdoor Advantage
Earlier this summer, we installed an outdoor break room and meeting area for our employees. We wanted to set up a safe and secure environment for our employees to take breaks and socialize.
The outdoor break room has socially distanced seating as well as chairs and tables for meeting and/or eating. A tent also provides shade and protection from rain.
This outdoor area also served as the perfect place to enjoy our lunch from Wilma’s Smokehouse food truck.
We at Components Company are committed to investing in our employees. They are the backbone of our company and we ensure that they know they are appreciated. Our monthly all-company lunches are just one way we show them that we care.
