At Components Company Inc., we not only support our community but we also support our community athletic teams. And what better time for a celebration than the Milwaukee Brewers’ Opening Day?
Opening Day on the Road
While we would have loved to spend the afternoon at Miller Park, this year the Brewers’ Opening Day occurred on March 29 against the Padres in San Diego. It’s the first time since 2011 that the Brewers started the season on the road.
Usually, Brewers fans (like us!) can plan on tailgating at Miller Park before the game while hoping the weather is warm enough to keep the roof open for Opening Day. (This year, the roof probably would have been closed. Brrrrr.) But it didn’t matter since the first Brewers game was held in San Diego this year.
Plan B: A Barbecue
Since we couldn’t attend Opening Day, we opted to host a barbecue for lunch on Opening Day at our Brookfield, Wis., facility on March 29. We invited a vendor guest (Troy) and we intend to hold more Brewer barbecues over the course of the summer!
Below are some photos from our Opening Day barbecue.
